VOLY for Volunteers in the 2025-2026 School Year

Austin ISD now directly manages all volunteers through the Voly platform, including running background checks.

All volunteers—new and returning—will now be required to complete a new background check at the start of each school year. The 2025-26 volunteer application will open on July 14 at austinisd.voly.org

Returning volunteers do not need to create a new account. They can simply sign in using their existing credentials to resubmit their background check.

Volunteers will also need to complete the Baranoff Elementary School Parent Volunteer Agreement after reviewing the Baranoff Volunteer Parent Training.

To support this process, the VOLY Team will perform its Annual Summer Reset from June 30 to July 11. During this time, both staff and volunteers will be unable to access the VOLY site.
What’s new: As part of our continued efforts to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all students, we are implementing a new requirement: all volunteers must resubmit their background check at the beginning of each school year.
For the 2025-26 school year, the volunteer application will open on July 14 through our district’s volunteer management platform, austinisd.voly.org.
