Advanced academics are educational services designed to move students with high ability at a pace appropriate to their rate of learning through studies that go beyond the age-level or grade-level expectations which include depth and complexity, provide academic acceleration, and address the cognitive, social, and emotional needs of the students.

State Goal for Services for GT Students
Students who participate in services designed for gifted/talented students will demonstrate skills in self-directed learning, thinking, research, and innovative products and performances that reflect individuality and creativity and are advanced in relation to students of similar age, experience, or environment.

Gifted/Talented Screening Timeline - 2026-27 School Year
- August 18 - October 16: GT Referral Window Referral Forms
- September 22 - October 7: Nonverbal Universal Screener (2nd Grade Students Only)
- September 23 at Noon or 6 p.m.: Virtual GT Services Family Information Session Meeting Session
- October 26-November 20: Testing of referred students and continuing 2nd graders
- December 2-16: Campus GT Committee reviews assessments and observations to identify students
- December 18: Parent Notification of Eligibility
- January 2027: Newly Identified Students Begin Services
